77th Precinct covering Crown Heights and Prospect Heights
Double shooting
A gunman and his accomplice shot two  teenagers on May 18, police said.
The shootings occurred at about 5:30 pm in front of 1199 Dean Street. One of the teens was wounded in the left arm and left leg.  The other was shot in the forearm. Both were taken to Kings County Hospital and are expected to survive.
The shooters escaped in a four-door green vehicle.

Counterfeit ring broken up
Acting on tips from the Recording Industry of America, cops broke up two counterfeit music operations last week.
On May 18, police raided a small store at 778 Nostrand Avenue at about 3:50 pm that was selling pirated music CDs and DVDs.  A 19-year-old was arrested.
Then at about 2:30 pm on May 20, they raided another small store at 1102 Saint Johns Place and arrested a 51-year-old man.

Woman raped
A sick thug raped a 25-year-old woman on May 19, police said.
The victim told cops that a friend, along with the unknown person, visited her at her apartment on Bedford Avenue for about ten minutes and then left.
The unknown person then came back at about 3 am and threatened to kill her before making her take off her clothes and brutally raping her.

Church break-in
A burglar broke into a church on May 22 but must have had remorse because he didn’t steal anything, police said.
The perpetrator broke through the basement window of the church at 1256 Dean Street sometime between 1 and 6:30 am. The sneaky thief then busted into two office rooms upstairs.
No property was removed.

Drug dealers busted
Cops arrested three men selling crack cocaine and possibly heroin out of a car on May 17.
The three, ages 22, 23 and 25 were observed at about 10:25 pm selling the drugs out of a 2010 Ford Fusion with Vermont license plates in front of 952 Bergen Street. They then moved in and made the arrests.
Recovered were 36 twists of crack, one glassine envelope of heroin and $45.

Laptop stolen
A sneaky thief broke into a man’s apartment on May 16 and took his laptop, police said.
The 61-year-old victim reported it to police, saying the incident occurred about 3 am in his apartment at 775 Saint Johns Place.

Camera dispute
A landlord’s friend was fingered on May 16 for taking a Nikon Camera and lens worth $2,680, cops said.
But the landlord countered that this was a fraudulent claim because the 38-year-old alleged victim was three months behind on his rent.
The dispute was called in at about 1:30 am at 1383 Dean Street.
No arrests have been made and the investigation continues.

Detergent thief
A 49-year-old man was arrested for trying to steal a 50-ounce bottle of Tide from a bodega on May 18, cops said.
The 32-year-old clerk saw the theft at the 252 Albany Avenue candy store at about 10:10 pm, and tried to stop the thief, who pushed him and bit him on the left arm in trying to get away.
Hate crime
Two teenagers are being sought after they attacked a man wearing a turban on May 19, cops said.
The 29-year-old victim said the two attacked him at about 7:30 pm on the southwest corner of Dean Street and Kingston Avenue.
“Why you wearing that turban. You don’t belong here,” one of the thugs was reported as saying. “We don’t like Muslims.”
The two teens then hit the victim with a stick and closed fists before fleeing on bicycles.

Man mugged
Five teenagers mugged a man walking home from the train station on May 20, police said.
The 25-year-old victim was walking at about 1:50 am in front of 95 Brooklyn Avenue when the thugs, said to be between 14-17, attacked the man with punches and kicks before robbing him of his cell phone and jewelry.

Gunpoint robbery
Two goons held up a man at gunpoint on May 22, police said.
The 29-year-old victim was walking at 11 pm on the northwest corner of Troy Avenue and Dean Street when the punks grabbed him from behind. One of the thugs punched and kicked him and then the other pulled out a black handgun.
The thieves then took his wallet and cell phone and fled.
79th Precinct covering Bedford-Stuyvesant
Two shootings
Cops are investigating the possibility that two separate shooting incidents are related.
The first shooting occurred at about 9:10 pm on  May 19, when a 27-year-old female was shot twice in the leg near the corner of Nostrand and Marcy Avenues.
A short time later, a 15-year-old boy was beaten and shot in the leg in front of 437 Throop Avenue.
Both victims were taken to Kings County Hospital and are expected to recover.
Police sources noted the close proximity and time in both shootings and are following leads in the investigation.

Gunned down
Police made an arrest in the shooting death of a man on May 19.
Kwasiada Crevelle, 24, was found with one bullet wound to the chest at about 11:30 pm opposite 404 Gates Avenue. He was taken to Woodhull Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Marell Walker, 24, was later arrested and charged with the crime.

81st Precinct covering Stuyvesant Heights

Home mugging
Police made two quick arrests in a home invasion robbery on May 21.
Cops responded to the scene on Decatur Street at about 11:45 after neighbors called 911 of a disturbance in the 41-year-old victim’s home.
When they arrived, they saw three people fleeing the house and after a short chase were able to collar two of the suspects.
During the robbery, the victim was slugged in the back of the head with a gun. He is expected to recover.
Police believe the third suspect will be apprehended shortly.
88th Precinct covering Fort Greene/Clinton Hill
Bus pickpocket
A sneaky thief pick pocketed a woman aboard the B41 bus on May 18, police said.
The 41-year-old victim said she got off the bus on Flatbush and Atlantic avenues at about 10:45 am to take the Long Island Rail Road. She discovered her bag open and wallet missing when she went to purchase a ticket.
